Description

A depiction of Homeworld Cataclysm Mission 2

If I remember correctly.  The destroyer is called BuShanRai, strangled in deep space due to hyperdrive malfunction. Those support frigate are fake, they are Taranic in disguise. A fight is about to break out. But those are no matter compare to the chaos that is about to be unleashed...

The events depicted in this work is not in the chronological order of the game. Because JPEG is a static medium, not because my memory is corrupted.

Hello 4-X-5

These spaceships have very clean lines, with a good level of detail.

The main thing that stands out for me is the color tone. It all seems too similar, and at a glance my eye keeps going to the area located in the lower front of the main ship next to the three smaller ships. The area is supposed to be empty space, but because it matches the rest of the objects in terms of tone it all looks the same. In other words, what this image needs is more contrast to help separate the ships from the background and from each other.

Also, from the description of your image, you mentioned that a battle scene is about to break out. I don't know the Homeworld backstory, but this image does not indicate tension, nor does it look like the ship is stranded in space. A more dynamic composition would help you tell this story better.

Now you mentioned in your post that your art is never as good as the pro's. I disagree. I think this is a good piece that can definitely go in a portfolio.
